Works like you'd want them to!

This pair of arborist throw weights are great tools in your tree trimming kit. These have come in very handy as I have been trimming trees on our property. The weights work wonderfully for getting the line for my rope saw over high branches. These are great at doing what they were designed to and I would certainly recommend them.

Heavy duty for lots of throws

I had another throw weight pouch for my hunting/climbing needs, and it's starting to fall apart after only a little use. And in hindsight, I can see why it did. These throw bags address these issues pretty well with a relatively heavy duty outer material & more robust stitching. The 2 weights come in handy for both your own ability & potentially the weight of the live you're using. In fact, having 2 weights means you have a backup if something were to happen to the first one. Highly recommended for any saddle hunters, climbers or arborists out there.

Great for antenna deployment

I grabbed these for use as throw weights for see employing ham radio antennas. They are perfect, a nice pair of weights, good shape to not get hung up in tree branches, and sturdy stitching. I just clip onto a length of Paracord and let fly!

Great options for tree access

Always great to have a few more bags in the climbing gear setup. I keep these clipped to my harness for when I snag a bag or need to switch to a lighter or heavier bag on the fly. Nice tough shells, good ring sewing. Just like my notch bags.

Work, a bit spendy

I tied some cord to these and made some test throws into a few trees I want to trim this winter. The weight is easy to toss and hefty enough to pull a slick cord down after it goes over a branch. My weights are stitched well and should hold up for getting cord around trees. There are better values out there, though. $23 for 2 weights is expensive considering there are options out there with weights and cord for less. If you don't need cord but need a few weights, this is a good option.
